Local Computerized Services (LCS) purposes to create "local search engines" for smaller local communities throughout the metropolitan Washington DC area. We are building search engines for Virginia, Maryland, and, Washington DC that will list 100% of all legitimate local establishments - for FREE! Our search engines will communicate to local and nearby residents what is "down the street" from where they live. This saves local internet users time, money, and, energy/effort so that they can find what they need and want quickly. Our concept intends to better connect local residents with local establishments. We refer to this as the "local interdependent ecosystem". Thus, we are creating the local internet that serves each immediate local community.
Listing 100% of Local Establishments - for FREE!
All establishments are listed for FREE on each local search engine. We do this because we simply want local and nearby residents to know what's available to them in their immediate local communities. Basically, if you know that an establishment exists, you can support it. We aim to include 100% of every legitimate establishment (including home-based businesses) so that local internet users can have the most accurate information about their local communities as possible. Local establishments have the opportunity (and responsibility) to provide more specific details about their establishments by joining our annual membership called "Tour Main Street" (TMS). This TMS membership is our affordable eMarketing service for each area. As paying TMS members, establishments are featured regionally on this site with a profile for online visitors to see. There are many more marketing benefits for TMS members. We anticipate that all local establishments will want to join TMS to provide the best information possible to local and nearby internet users.
The Local Ecosystem is a Team Effort!
This is a team effort. We are better connecting local residents with local establishments because they are interdependent upon each other for local prosperity. If local and nearby residents can locate what they want and need "down the street" they will make purchasing decisions that save time, money, and, energy/effort. Thus, residents want to be better "team" players. Local establishments have a responsibility to the "team" too - by providing more detailed information so that internet users can conduct meaningful online research (see "Tour Main Street"). Its a fact that an increase in local patronage also increases local profits for establishments. This, in turn, increases local tax revenues - and promotes new local job creation. That increaased tax revenue makes it possible for better local services from local governments. Therefore, keeping local dollars local is a main theme behind what we've name the "local ecosystem". As a team effort, this impact on the local community helps the local economy in several ways. As this unified team (and relationships) of local residents and local establishments continues to mature, the local economy improves exponentially.
